I originally got Bella and Jordan's wedding through a planner I'd worked with previously.
Because the planner handled most of the organisation, I hadn't actually spoken to Bella and Jordan that much before arriving in Sicily.
You never quite know how that's going to feel.
But within minutes of meeting them, any worry disappeared.
They were two of the most down-to-earth, welcoming people I could have asked to work with, and their bridesmaids and groomsmen were exactly the same.
Everyone helped us throughout the day and made us feel like part of the group rather than suppliers who'd just flown in with cameras.
And the setting wasn't bad either.
Borgo del Carato is in the countryside near Palazzolo Acreide in the Syracuse area, surrounded by olive and carob trees. The estate describes itself as a historic Sicilian property set within extensive private grounds.

The morning immediately set the tone.
The girls had champagne flowing, music playing and everyone singing while they got ready.
Meanwhile the boys were considerably more chilled.
Music on.
Golf on.
Not much evidence of stress anywhere.
Exactly how wedding mornings should be.
β
About twenty minutes before their outdoor ceremony, Sicily decided to throw us a curveball.
It absolutely hammered down.
The chairs were soaked.
Everyone was looking at the sky.
And suddenly the beautiful outdoor ceremony we'd all been expecting wasn't looking quite so certain.
Then, almost as quickly as it arrived, it cleared.
The sun came back out.
Everything went ahead.
And from that point onwards the weather was beautiful.
Sometimes you've just got to trust it. π
β
Dinner was set in the courtyard and looked incredible.
Borgo del Carato lends itself brilliantly to this kind of celebration because you've got the historic character of the property surrounding everyone while still being completely outside in Sicily.
And dinner wasn't exactly quiet.
They introduced a competition where each table had to do something to try and beat the others.
Two tables started singing.
Then the top table escalated things considerably when the lads decided to give the mother of the bride a striptease.
Absolutely brilliant.
Everyone was going wild.
β
Things didn't calm down afterwards.
There was a champagne tower.
Cold sparks.
A sax player.
Music.
Dancing.
And just ridiculous energy.
But what I remember most isn't necessarily any of that.
It's how Bella, Jordan and their guests treated us.
Eventually the cameras went away and we joined the party.
That's not something that happens at every wedding, but by that point we genuinely felt like guests.
And those are the weddings you remember.
